God Is Releasing A River of Healing

God is Releasing A River of Healing

8 Then he said to me, “This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea. The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure. 9 There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. [c] Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows. 10 Fishermen will stand along the shores of the Dead Sea. All the way from En-gedi to En-eglaim, the shores will be covered with nets drying in the sun. Fish of every kind will fill the Dead Sea, just as they fill the Mediterranean. 11 But the marshes and swamps will not be purified; they will still be salty. 12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.” Ezekiel 47:8-12 NLT

As I read this, I saw the United States as the Dead Sea. God is saying, “I have released and I am releasing a river of healing within the United States that will bring life to that which has been perverted and died. As My river renews and restores, people will be drawn to it, and there will be abundant fruit.”

Navigating the Path of the River

The Lord then directed me to 1 Timothy 2:1-2 and 2 Chronicles 7:14

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness”.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.

The Lord is saying, “I set the path of the river. However, the prayers of My people create the force behind the water to bring it to a level of breakthrough.”

When we pray for those in authority, even (or especially) the ones whom we do not agree with, it creates a swirl within the river that brings in a flood of the presence of God. When we humble ourselves and cast down pride, the pH balance of the area around the river is brought into alignment, the soil is nourished, and fruit begins to grow.

Demonic Assignments

An assignment has been released against the earth of fear, hopelessness, and discouragement. The world easily succumbs to this assignment. However, there is a caution to the church, the followers of Jesus Christ. What we focus on directs the steps we take, and the beliefs formed. God is asking, “Is your focus on and aligned with the demonic assignments and human wisdom and understanding, or is your focus on the kingdom mandate to bring Heaven to earth?” A genuine focus on the Kingdom of Heaven does not allow fear or discouragement to enter the realm of your thinking.

Our focus is vital because if we focus on the fear and discouragement, we cease to increase current or flow to the waters through our prayers. Instead, our prayers begin to pollute and slow down the flow of the water, which causes the fruit to die and the river to become a trickle rather than a breakthrough force. God’s heart is always to bring abundant life, but we have a part to play.

Alignment Impacts Flow

The more we align with God and His word, the greater the depth, width, and force of that river.

God says, “I have released a river; the force of the river has the capacity to bring destruction to the evil that has invaded the earth.” The challenge is that we cannot stand on the sidelines cheering on the river or even relaxing along the banks. God is calling the Bride of Christ to radically align with His plan, which means walking in humility, praying for those in authority, seeing from a Kingdom perspective, and having the roar of the Lion of Judah for the things of the Lord. Therefore, we must throw off the things of this world, including cultural mindsets and opinions (see Hebrews 12:1-2), to walk in humility, hear from Heaven, and pray with the power and authority that stems from the Kingdom authority and a Godly mandate.

Prayer and Declarations

Heavenly Father, I ask your forgiveness for the times I have been consumed by the world around me rather than consumed by your Kingdom. I ask forgiveness for the times when my focus has been even a fraction of a degree off, causing me to miss the mark. I stand before you, in this moment, and I step into that river and begin to stir.

I pray for every level of leadership, and I pray for those in authority. I pray that you will guide and direct those who believe in you and those who do not. I lay aside my political agenda, and instead, I trust you. I confess that I don’t understand everything, but I know nothing is impossible for you.

Heavenly Father, I confess that there have been times when fear and discouragement have consumed me; I repent and ask you to fill me with great hope, expectation, and joy. I choose to jump in the river, receive refreshment and align with what you are doing.

Heavenly Father, I align with your mandate for breakthrough. I speak to those impossibilities, and I decree and declare that you must bow before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. That the walls must come down and the mountains be moved. That nothing has the strength or capacity to stand in the way of the river of God.

Because you have released a river, I declare that your Kingdom will come to this earth. I decree and declare that nothing is impossible for you. I decree and declare that there is healing for the United States because you have stated that the fruit from your river is for healing. Father, I ask you to increase the flow, and I commit to aligning with what you are doing and radically trusting you. My focus is on you and you alone.
